Thanks a lot for the info! This is really helpful. I was thinking about the +35 but thought they might poke too much. But with a little negative camber, it should be the way to go. Do you think an 18x9 +35 would be safe too? I've been debating back and forth between 17" and 18" RPF1's.

yea.. with the camber bolt up adjustment up front on a +35... it is as "flush" a set up can get on this car without need for spacers or anything.

18x9 + 35 will be the same, except you'll have LESS tire sidewall. You'd have to go 245/35/18 or something...

17x9 +45 RPF1's with AP Sprint kit?

Has anyone tried this? Their site says 17x9 +35 amd 17x8 +45 but no info for 17x9 +45. I'm ordering my wheels today so any help is appreciated.

I installed 17x9 +45 Enkei RPF1's with 255/40/17 Sumitomo HTR ZIII a few weeks ago on the stock suspension.

With everything bolted on I measured @ .75mm between the front spring perch and tire. Obviously way too tight so I added 3mm spacers in the front and now have plenty of room.

I have a good 400 miles on this setup now and there are no signs of rubbing on the spring perch or anywhere else.

Camber adjustment is definitely limited to plates on struts with the +45's and a reasonably wide tire.

This setup allows me to run some wide rubber on the stock suspension with the stock alignment without the wheels sticking way out of the wheel wells. There is very slight poke in the front but I am not concerned enough about it to mess with.

I've got +45 17x9's with 245s and the only rubbing is from turning to lock all the way to the right, and it's a metal to metal rub. Not sure from where, but it only happens if I forget when parking sometimes. It has not been a big issue for me.

it's also good to note they fit over wilwood 4 pots as I had them on my old saabaru

Thats without spacer. And it looks like the wilwood 6 pot kit will fit too, judging by diagrams on the wilwood site the 6 pot kit is barely wider than the 4 pot

am I correct in my understanding that the +35mm offset of the RFP1 17x9's should have 10mm MORE clearance of the suspension than the +45 and therefore should fit better? Going off of what I read on page 5.

I think "better" is relative to what you are interested in. YES, you have 10mm more clearance from the inside. But you also have 10mm more tire poking on the outside too. So ultimately it depends on your application. I have the 45 offset with 245s with 17x9 wheels on the stock suspension and it works great. But... I don't plan on doing coilovers, springs, lowering etc. I was just interested in getting the widest tire I could in a square configuration (all tires the same width).

That is all i want to achieve too... I plan to drop 1" with pro kit springs. is the 10mm extra poke going to be a limitation for me?

depends if you want to run crazy camber to get the tire to tuck into the fender when the suspension flexes. I ran my +45's on eibach sportlines and a 245/40 tire set up and the front tires with almost no camber settings were flush with the fender. The +35 is going to poke 10mm more.

I now have 255's and coilovers. I think the 45's are perfect for 90% of the people driving these cars. I plan to track/autocross starting next year and still I'll be sticking with these wheels. I don't want to widen the track of the car any more than flush with the body risking steering response, excessive suspension wear, and turning radius. I run a 3mm spacer in the rear and I'm very happy with how aggressive the car looks without over the top poke or camber.

Do you get any rubbing (at full lock or otherwise)? How much camber are you running? I'm planning on running 17x9 +45 wheels with a 245/40 tire with somewhere around -1 or -1.5 camber all round. I'm also on coilovers.
