Shorter wires for more horsepower, and smaller gauge for lightness, duh!

Losing the wiring for the antenna, speakers, third brake light, keyless entry crap, seat belt alarms, amp, etc, etc.

Cause, I can...

I have nothing else to do. It's fecking freezing!

@humfrz

I had 220lbs removed as of last year. I'm aiming at removing 110lbs more this winter and then adding back 20-30lbs to select areas.

That will put me well under 2500lbs. The goal is to be under 2400lbs without a pop can interior.

Streamlined

OK, your goal is to get your car down to 2400 lbs.

What is your objective? Seriously, why are you doing this?

The objective is to enhance that Go Kart feel. It will do everything better than it does now.

The 220 lb drop was very noticeable and knowing that can only expect it to be better with even less weight.

That, and I can

OK, then, just for fun -

Reminds me of back in the day, me and two buddies bought a 1937 Chevrolet pickup off this old farmer. Yep, patched up the tires, put a battery in it, a couple quarts of oil and some gas. It fired right up.

So, in order to make a 1/4 mile drag machine out of it, a lot of weight had to go. The bed was first to go, then the fenders, then the sides of the hood. The mice had already eaten out the interior and the floorboard was rusted away, so no weight savings there. The exhaust had to go, so it just dumped out below the exhaust manifold.

Now, a new set of "hot" spark plugs and a drilled out carburetor jet and it was ready for a road test. That puppy was "lite" and looking for a drag race.

Well, not too far from the homestead, a Ohio State Patrolman pulled us over. Where in the hell he came from, I'll never know, down some country road in the middle of no where.

He ask who owned this POS and we said "we" did. Since I was the only one who was 16 and had a drivers license, he started to write me up.

Then he stopped, asked how far it was to where this POS resided. We said about a 1/2 mile away. He said he would just let this go, he followed us back to the garage and told us he NEVER wanted to see this POS on HIS highway again!

THE END

My car check engine light is on. I need to buy a scanner to diagnosis the car problems. If I am not wrong, then I will buy Autel scanner https://obd2scanners.org/autel/. What do you think which brand scanner will work great? I heard lots of things about Autel scanners.

Welcome to our happy camp!

Too bad about the CEL, let's hope it isn't serious.

Yep, a code reader is a handy tool to have. It doesn't need to be real expensive to do the job.
