Invidia N1 vs Greddy Evo3

Anyone experience both these? The N1 has a very similar look/design to Evo3. Haven't seem to find a comparison on performance, sound, drone, etc.

Evo 3 has a drone between 3-4K RPM. If you have the 6MT, that's right at highway cruising speed.

Sounds awesome otherwise. The tips look a bit cheap (single wall design) but the rest of the system looks pretty good.

You may or may not be sensitive to drone, so I'd take a drive in a car with the Evo 3 beforehand to see how you like it at highway speed.

The Invidia is quieter and has no comparable drone. Also keep in mind that the Evo 3 is a 70mm pipe to Invidia's 60mm. If you have plans to go turbo later on, the larger exhaust may be better for you.

I own the N1 and have met up with several owners with the Evo 3. I think the final verdict is that the N1 is cheaper, not as loud and seems to be less prone to rusting. The EVO 3 is pricier, louder, and has already shown earlier rusting in the pipes.

Build quality appears to be very similar between the two.

The great thing about the EVO 3 is the piping diameter is 70mm vs 60mm, so some feel it is better if you have FI applications down the road.

I hate to be that douche that doesn't answer the direct question but I think you should venture and consider other exhaust manufactures. Inividia is a great company, much like Greddy, but build quality maybe an issue and rust has been seen in both applications.

I have Milltek, which is much like Perrin with good build quality. I spent 900 for mine, I think inividia is around 700 and Evo around 850. Just depends on what your budget is. Evo 3 is known to drone. Best of luck

Ah yes, I was thinking the Q300, but the Inividia N1 is between 580-620 depending on what style tips you get.

All this info does help. I'm also looking at Perrin. More I look, more options there are.

I had the Evo 3 for a little while on my supercharged BRZ. At the time the rest of the exhaust was stock. Without the silencers in the drone was unbearable. You couldn't listen to music and it gave me a terrible headache. With the silencers in the exhaust was actually quite nice. It was pretty quiet too although I imagine with those installed it was really restrictive. I really liked the way the tips looked and how they fit the car as well.

Anyone running the N1 with a front pipe? Which one are you guys running and what do they sound like?! I've been trying to find sound clips of some set ups but it's tough to find good videos!

I ran a stock midpipe, an agency power resonated over/mid pipe, and my current ARK testpipe... all with a borla UEL.

The stock midpipe had no drone
The agency power over/mid pipe had massive amounts of drone in the low RPM range... and even during idle. It sounded/felt like someone was jumping on my head.
The ark testpipe has no drone, but its still plenty loud.

With a stock header you might not get any drone, but the N1 really sounds best with a UEL... boxer rumble/uneven pulses really sound great with the N1

I paid ~500 at a local shop for mine.... maybe a little less. Very cheap, no rust yet and its been a few months of daily driving in rain etc.

My friends greddy exhaust had welds crack/fail. My previous older (10 years ago) greddy exhausts were great though and held up to years of chicago winters with no rusting/failures

+1 I also couldnt handle the drone in the first place, so I also kept my silencers on. After a year of driving with the Evo 3 exhaust and taking the silencers off for an AutoX event, the drone has finally disappeared and I can now cruise on the highway and listen to my music. Moral: The drone does go away after the exhaust has been broken in, it just takes time. So keep them silencers on until it goes away.
