But then again we have this...

Lexus IS 250-sourced A960E 6-speed automatic with upgrades such as earlier torque converter lockup, faster upshift and downshift times and throttle blips accompanying downshifts was spot-on.

If that info is true, then perhaps the automatic can take 400HP.
That's just Kaizen Factor trying to save face over their many erroneous 86 predictions. They never said that the 86 would get the IS250's A960E, they said it would get the ISF's much stronger AA80E with 2 gears removed. Not the same thing at all, not even close. I'm not 100% sure which Aisin-Warner 6AT shares the most in common with the heavy duty AA80E but I'd bet heavily against it being the light duty 960E when the heavy duty 760E is available.

What we have is a slightly improved IS250 AT rated for at least 200bhp that Lexus wouldn't use in the 300bhp IS350. How much HP, and more importantly torque, it can reliably handle and for how long remains to be seen. I have no concerns about putting 250whp and 200lbs tq through my AT and doubt that it will even need additional cooling (DD, no racing). Beyond that, good luck. I'll let others probe the upper limits.
