It's been a blessing working on my FRS. First unmolested car I've ever owned. I hope the best for your project. I'm thinking once we get vaccinated, I'd like to invite myself down to compare notes and hit that greasy-spoon joint.

Summer can't come fast enough

I agree the 22RE is probably one of the best 4 bangers of all time, reliable and built tough. That is why I still have mine.

No, looks like direct injection driver module for the D4S.

Edit:kinda looks like it has a Forester mock oil cooler/warmer though.

Speaking of oil coolers, has anyone pointed out what I'm seeing here?

Yup. Discussed when the engine bay photos first appeared. Speculation that heat management may be a concern, hence the oil cooler and functional vents...

Or an admission that heat temps where a concern in the outgoing model.

Or that it's actually an oil warmer, not a cooler, and it's designed to eke out another 0.1 MPG or drop another gram of CO2, not keep your oil cool on the track (as is the case in the other Subaru cars).

That would be interesting.

If making better cold start emissions is part of what's allowing us to have that NA engine, then I am all for it.
