Just a side question - I thought the BRZ tS came with the rear STI spats? or no?

It does. They're on my list for install in the near future. One bit at a time haha

Oh for the FP/OP, are you going to get it directly from Cosworth, or from Nameless? Since it's the same piece and all....
Nameless seems to be the most cost-effective route. I can do the FP/OP and headers for a little over 2K. Literally it is the exact same design too.

Yesterday was a big day. Finally installed the front and rear brembos. Most of the install was smooth this time around, largely due to the fact that I was using brand-new front calipers.

Flashback: On the original calipers I bought (already had trackdays on them) I had to drill out and rethread each of the allen screws as they were fused inside the caliper. While I am lucky to have access to a proper machine shop, it wasn't until after I had done the install on the original calipers that I realized each bleeder was not sealing properly (result of rethreading a thousandth too big).

Fast forward, with brand-new unused calipers the bleeder flip was a breeze. I was able to unscrew 3 of the 4 allen plugs by hand (still kinda hard) but not anywhere as bad as having to drill. The final allen plug was more difficult as I had to torch it and use a grab-it bit. The final plug was then easy to remove.

My advice on the bleeder flip: don't do it unless you have new/unused calipers. Otherwise you have to drill and rethread and you run the risk, like me, of screwing it up.

The rear brembo installation was pretty easy as well. There are not any bleeders to flip, so that makes life easier. The only problem I encountered was with my DBA Rotor. From my reading of other brembo install threads the only trimming to the dust shield was for the caliper. In my case the diameter of the dust shield was interfering with the rotor, so I had to cut the lip of the shield all the way around (see pic). Other than that the install was no problem.

Brembo Impressions: The added braking power up front is noticeable. You can certainly feel the front of the car dive under hard braking. The feel is excellent. I certainly feel confident braking later. With more brake upgrades (master cylinder brace, stainless lines, etc.) I'm sure the feel would be improved further. Overall, great performance and aesthetic upgrade. See for yourself!

Are you liking the 18" rim setup? I am looking into the STI look for my 2015 BRZ.
But can't seem to find myself locked in on a tire & wheel package.
The 2015 Series Blue BRZ came with 17" STI Wheels right? But how do yours fit? and do you have any advise on if i went 18" with stock suspension?

The 18s are excellent. They fill the wheel well nicely and are just gorgeous. My only complaint is the offset. You don't need much, but a small spacer on the rears helps to make things look more flush. Still very good all the way around however.

Correct, the Series.Blue does come with 17" wheels standard.

I'm running stock suspension with TRD lowering springs and I don't have any complaints. I would suggest a drop of 1" - 15mm with these wheels however. I'd like to cash in on an STI suspension, but that's for later.

Build looks great man! I'm digging your brakes for sure!

When you're ready to make the plunge for the Stage 2... do it. I can't recommend it enough.

There's just so much more power... everywhere.

I feel you on that. Looking at your numbers I don't doubt it. Cosworth components are excellent. Can't wait till I can put up some dyno numbers like yourself!

What's next for your build?

Perrin Oil Cooler goes on this weekend before the first track day with the supercharger. After that, I'm leaning towards doing some functional exterior stuff... Considering the Driveway labs front 3" splitter and a rear diffuser, but I'm undecided on how aggressive (read: ridiculous) I want to go out back.

I am on Tire Rack dot com right now,
looking at a set of 18" Rims to go with 225/40/48 Michelin Pilot Sport Tires.
Do you think this would require the spacers ?
