Kind of looks like it has a black eye... And not in a good way

Good news! After toying around with different ideas I was able to get my Door Strap Pull working today!

My new anchor location allowed everything to fall into place... This position (pictured below) on the outer part of the rotation allows for the best movement... the previous anchor point was too close to center to be effective with a load on it. Without a load it worked just fine though. I also was able to work the OEM spring back into my final design!

I'll post completed pics soon!

Marked...

Drilled...

Push/Pull rod installed...

I also got around to making the door cup covers today... just need to wrap them in suede.

Not really "today".. but in the past month....

1. Tore out, regraded, and poured a new concrete garage floor.
2. Installed new concrete apron w/ drain trough in front of garage to catch water before flowing into garage from downward-sloping driveway
3. Had entire driveway excavated, regraded, and paved.
4. Installed new garage doors and openers.

BABY has a nice new, clean, dry crib to rest in!!!! (total cost of project? About 1.5x the cost of the car.. lol)

I wish I had the discipline to pull this off. Each year I get a lump sum of money at the end of the year and I keep telling myself im going to update my driveway ect. And I end up spending the money on more mods!
Congrats!

Sorry everyone... starting tonight, all my photos were taken hostage by the assholes at Photobucket. I've used them for years and now they want $399 to unlocked my photos and for unlimited 3rd party hosting... well FU Photobucket! They could have at least grandfathered all my images up until the point that they changed their terms of service.

I've moved on to imgur...

Here is my first hosted image from my imgur account. I am @zeal86 there as I am here.

The door strap pull works but I'm going to try one more adjustment to get it just right...

I love the look!

Congrats!
Thanks. All it took was 17 years of laying on my back in an inch or two of salty mud every time I had to work on a car (which used to be VERY frequently, prior to buying the FR-S), literally having to shovel the mud out of the garage every few weeks, tracking mud in the house EVERY time we went into the garage for anything... eventually, I got sick enough of it to do something about it. Sooo.. I'm not exactly disciplined either...
