Has anyone driven Laurales Grade in Monterey
My family and I are in Monterey attending the "MOPAR by the BAY" car show this weekend. Afterward, I got my chance to take my FR-S onto the Laurales Grade (a short 7 to 8 mile stretch connecting highway 68 to Carmel Valley Road). The start of this road is near the main entrance of Laguna Seca Raceway. It consist of a series of tight right and left-handers, blinds turns, elevation change and a nice double chicane just after the summit. I've done this road many times in other cars but none as much fun as I had today blasting thru the twisties, making the stock tires work like there's no tomorrow. I can't describe the joy and excitement I had. You guys will have to see for yourself next time you're in the Monterey Bay area or attending a Laguna Seca event.
