It's been a long time and last year was a rough one(in respect to car stuff, life itself is good), lots of life events keeping me from touching the car.

Back at it, installed the subframe inserts last night and picked up some spherical top mounts for the rear.

Next up is oil cooler V3 along with a oil pressure gauge setup.

I though this was kind of a cool photo.

I hit a snag installing the tophats, the supplied collars are taller than the threaded portion of the shock shaft. They will need to be machined down.

New oil cooler setup wrapped up (I know, one off colored fitting). No more push lock fittings this time.

I've had a few questions about the mounting bracket. Maybe this will make it more clear.

Installed an oil pressure gauge as well.

Looking to knock the rust off on track in the next couple weeks.

It's been awhile.
Photobucket can suck it. I've replaced as many pictures as I could, unfortunately some are absent.

Went out to Road America a couple months ago. Car ran great but was a handling disaster. Maybe that factory spoiler really did make a difference, or maybe it was old tires. The car was an oversteering mess in any corner >70ish. I disconnected the rear sway and reduced the rear rebound which stabilized it in the higher speed stuff but plowed like crazy in anything slow. I'm weighing options for adding aero.

Chasing a buddy.

Otherwise I was having enough fun I forgot to take any other pictures.

Also did a Track Night In America event. It was pretty good, even if the venue wasn't the greatest.

It's been interesting where I've ended up compared to my original plan.

Made it out to road America again. Good time, racked up about 200 track miles and the car was solid.

I added a lip spoiler to help tame the back, I'm surprised how much that little thing helped. I also lowered the rear just a bit and the car is pretty dialed right now. On the fence about adding more aero.

Long time no post eh.....
Crazy long winter this year
Finally dug the car out of storage and actually washed and waxed it (might be the first time in 3 years outside of a quick wipe with detailing spray )

I amassed a few goodies over the winter. Some SPL parts, shifter and a new intake. Also the car is no longer STX legal, I mean I haven't autox'd in 3 years but I have mixed feelings over that decision.

Shifter installed, welcome to the new office space.

More to come soon.

I have the coolest co-workers! A few years ago I was in Japan and picked up a toy FRS (the red one). Monday I came into work to find a present from a co-worker who just returned from Japan and had brought me back a 2017 model.

E85 flex kit installed.

SPL RLCA installed and aligned.

Also drilled a hole in the tow hook cover, sometimes it's the little things. No more ugly gaping hole.

Heading to Road America in a couple days. It was really hot while working on the car today and at some point I smashed my finger so there is literal blood and sweat into this car.

I love it, despite having BIR closer and being a "power track" I consider it my "home" track. It's a shame it's almost 6 hrs away.

On the the goodness. Had a great time as usual, lost some track time as someone took out a significant portion of wall in the kink, destroying their car in the process. The track crew busted their ass to get it fixed though. Seriously they worked hard, and in full fire suits in 80*+ weather.

On the upside I smashed my personal best With a 2:41.4 on the second session of the first day. I know a 2:40 is in me but I spent the rest of the weekend with a passenger or in traffic. Next year. Video to come once I have some free time to look at it.

Car worked great, so well in fact I got a little bored. I fabbed a grille and took the reverse light out in an effort to reduce drag. I didn't notice a difference though.

Fuel is the name of the game going forward I guess. E85 was netting about 7 mpg on track or just over half a tank per session.

The rubber streaks are starting to collect on my hood. At some point I decided to stop cleaning them and just let them collect.

WI offered up a gorgeous sunset as per usual.

It's as much a vacation as it is a trackday, took in some local flavor in Elkhart Lake.

Parting shot before packing it in.

Here are a couple videos from the event. Of course my GoPro cut out right before my best lap but here is a decent one.

My buddies car and I were pretty evenly matched this event. His car pulls slightly harder but he was on older tires so I had him in the corners.

Since I have no video here is a screen shot from the logger of my new best.

I also think I'm done with phones, apps, gps ect......
A buddy there threw in his AIM solo, turned it on.......it just started showing times, it was glorious. If I can sell the racecapture I'm thinking of picking up a Solo II DL over the winter.
