Not that one specifically but others like it. IMO a full string setup like smart strings is far more valuable for two reasons.
1 one can roll the car
2 it gives thrust angle.

I like the longacher camber gauge because it can be calibrated to true zero on any surface. It's also very robust and well made.

I correlated the actual camber to the marks on my camber plates so I can make adjustments on the fly.

I was going through my album and thought I'd post up a couple pics of the rollbar after it was all done.

I do still need to make a bracket for the radio amp, I just have it out for now.

Test fitting the rear panels, what aa pita!

Primed

And done.

Looks good. I would move ditching those OEM seats and getting proper buckets with proper harness pass throughs up the list.

Agreed. I have it all, just need to find time to install it. The car is in storage until spring at this point.

Always enjoy talking with ya on the forums, and love the build you've done. My plans are roughly the same in both the short term and long run.

How did your RE71Rs hold up to autox and tracking? I'm picking up a set of 17x9 Koseis wrapped in 245 71Rs this weekend, and plan to use them for this year's season of autocross as well as about 3-5 track days.

Thanks.

My use last year was roughly:
30 autox runs
~450 miles of track time (3 days)
~1500 street miles

I flipped the tires part way through the season.
There is probably almost 40-50% in the middle but the edges aren't great. One has very little treat left, two days at Road America really put a hurt on the left outsides.

Depending on your setup and how easy you are or are not on tires, one set might not last thre season.

If they deliver, it will be here in time for spring.

I am looking forward to seeing people getting these. I am still holding off on what direction I want to go till I see them in person.

I'm a bit skeptical that it will be everything they claim it to be but I really like the idea of pulling things like wheel speeds and steering angle from CANBUS as well as having an actual accelerometer built in.

In addition, if it really takes off and people are openly sharing their data via Podium, it could conceivably make everyone faster.

I still autox enough to make the AIM solo DL a non-starter, for strictly track that would likely be my choice.

I was thinking about headers the other day which led to a bit of data analysis. I made histograms out of the rpm data from an autox run and track lap to get an idea of where I'd like the power band to be.

One lap from road America (I need to pull +Long G only data to see if it differs much)

For auto x I took it one step further and only used data while long. G was positive. In other words, only data while under acceleration was taken into account. I also tracked total time spent accelerating and time spent at WOT. It should be noted this was a very short course, 33s.

All in all this was an interesting exercise, and gives me a solid idea of what to look for when it comes time to start shopping for a header.

Makes sense to me with the slower speeds, more corners, and less shifts of an AutoX track. I should plot these as well.

It's been a long winter and I finally got the car out of storage. While I have a lot planned, and this was last on the list, I had a few hours along the other day and felt the need to fab something so I whipped up this battery hold down.

Short list for this year:
-New oil cooler hoses/ mounting
-Seat and harness install
-Highflow cat in the mid pipe
-Exhaust
-Whiteline sub frame bushings(on the way)
-Corner balance

I'm also in process of making a new string alignment jig. Pretty close to finishing that up.

Had another kid in November so future progress and events will slow down for a bit.

One of the things I wasn't very happy with was the mounting of the oil cooler. I always felt mounting it to the bumper beam would be a better/safer solution than the bottom tray.

New mounts with shrouding/support brackets.

Mounted

Should be ready to roll very soon.
Once this is wrapped up, I can do alignment and drop the race seats in.

Still no race capture.....
