Yea, the color is being discontinued. I ordered an Apollo Blue (that is what they call Neptune Blue in Australia) and got a call from my dealer to pick a different color a month or two ago. Thankfully I managed to make it into the April production and my one will be one of the last off the production line. My car will be arriving late May. If you go on the Toyota website, you will notice it is not an option anymore. As far as I’m aware, there is no replacement for it.

An ideal replacement for the Neptune Blue (which I recently saw and have warmed to) would be a Subaru colour, Horizon Blue Pearl.

It won't happen but a lighter colour that is actually a colour not something that is part of the greyscale would be so great.

The flat/matte grey seems to be the trendy colour now....so Im expecting the Neptune to be replaced with some variation of that......

I’m saying lava if they replace it. Especially since the special edition turned out to be a straight pumpkin orange.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘24 SE is that gray though. Isn’t the gray already called pavement? Maybe they’d call it Countersteering Crow.

It was cool when Audi released it, now that we are seeing it on Kia's, not so much.

Neptune is one of the reasons I went with the GR as well. Happy I got mine yesterday =).

It’s quite close to Porsche Shark Blue in person.

The other day I was in an airport rental car parking garage. Looking around I had this weird feeling like something was wrong with my eyes, as if my ability to process color was broken. Finally I realized every car in sight was either black, white, silver or gray and half of the vehicles in sight were the new Pacifica in that flat gray. To my eyes they look like a car that has had their color adjusted out to gray scale in photoshop but in real life. It hurt my eyes to look right at them. Maybe also had to do with the lighting.

This was exactly why Neptune grew on me. The GR86 is a proper poor mans Porsche so giving it that iconic color (it's lighter, but pretty close) fits it well.

Hakone is the trim level the colour is Pearl British Racing Green.
They have never, ever, ever, taken a special edition colour and turned it into a regular production one and I doubt they will start now.
