SM-10RS
Introducing the Forged SM-10RS. An ultralight version of our already popular SM-10 design. We’re a function-over-form brand, so we took our time and engineered this wheel to be our best. The original SM-10 has been re-engineered with thinner spokes and extra-deep side-milling for maximum weight reduction. The SM-10RS is now our lightest wheel in some fitments and meaningfully stiffer than our popular VS-5RS.




VS-5RS
The VS-5RS was built to be extremely light while still offering a meaningful strength increase over our flow formed wheels. For those looking to shed as much weight as possible to improve lap times.

As noted in our February 17th update we added a variety of brand new fitments to the deal, some of which were engineered specifically for the 86/BRZ. To supplement those new wheel fitments we wanted to let the community know that 86/BRZ compatible TPMS sensors have also been added to our Group Buy.

If you have only expressed interest in the deal thus far, we strongly suggest that you jump in today and submit your official pledge. The GangUp site makes it easy to add TPMS sensors and any other desired accessories at the same time. Participation in this deal is high and continues to grow every day, so there is a real chance of your desired fitment or finish selling out if you wait too long. If you’ve already pledged, simply edit your existing order to add TPMS sensors or any other desired accessories.

18" Forged Sprint Group Buy

We also want to take the opportunity to share some of the details and benefits of each of these new fitments:

(17x9.5” ET40 VS-5RS Shown)

18x9” ET42: This dual-duty street or track fitment is a great option for both Gen 1 and Gen 2 owners that are looking to increase performance. This configuration allows for increased brake clearance and the option to run significantly wider tires than stock without requiring heavy modifications. For a Gen 1 car, this is typically a direct fit option though we recommend mild camber with tires that run wide. For a Gen 2 car, this fitment typically requires mild negative camber for clearance and depending on tire choice may require slight trimming of the rear quarter.

18x9.5” ET40: An aggressive fitment for when you want as much brake clearance and tire width as possible, or if you want the most spoke concavity that we offer for these chassis. This is a popular Gen 1 fitment among track enthusiasts, and it’s often paired with 255 or 265mm tire to maximize grip. This fitment requires aftermarket coilovers with a slimmer silhouette than stock and a minimum of -2.5º camber to fit properly. For a Gen 2 car, in addition to the aftermarket coilovers and aggressive alignment settings, trimming of the rear quarter panel is necessary for clearance.

For transparency this is a render of the SM-10RS using an accurate face profile, tire size, ride height etc. As mentioned in our previous post we are very close to shooting real SM-10RS sample wheels for 86/BRZ, but we wanted to get some inspiration out there ASAP and this rendering is a great representation of what to expect.

We filmed the video below this morning specifically for enthusiasts involved in this Group Buy that have only shown interest thus far (aka have not officially pledged yet), but it touches on some important updates so we decided to post it here in the public update section for those that have pledged to see as well.

When we originally launched this deal we wanted to be really conservative with our ETA dates. Now that we’re so close to the end and we have more data to work with, we're happy to report that we’re in a position to ship hundreds of wheels this month, shortly after the deal closes! This positive shift applies to a large quantity of VS-5RS fitments that were originally slated for April fulfillment, and we’ll be sure to update customers following the closure of the deal so you can plan accordingly.
