lol, nothing about the part of only buying 1 disc, and then passing it around to an entire group so everyone can load in to play multiplayer?

Finally finished grounded after a week and a half of playing (100 in game days). Thanks to my buddy being a completionist, we even did the ridiculous extra ending. The game is really good looking. I played with a controller on PC and really should have just used keyboard and mouse.

Also finished portal RTX because why not lol

Sister surprised me and bought me Hogwarts Legacy even though I wasn't going to get it.

There is so much shit to do!
And that's after sinking nearly a week into it. 20+hrs.
The male voice for the main protag sounds alot like Daniel Radcliff though. XD

There is deff A LOT to do.

A few tips that helped me out.

-Check your challenge progression, you get appearances for your gear.
-Don't sweat keeping all golden or purple gear your first levels, until you can start upgrading it just equip whatever it is highest at the time, sell the rest.
-Attend classes but also explore, some time in the forbidden forest will net you quite a few levels.
-Sneaking is very effective, being able to one shot with Pretificus Totalus can come in handy.
-Revelio absolutely everywhere you go, a "Ping" indicates there is a field guide nearby. The closer it is, the fastest you'll hear the ping.
-Once you can start applying skill points, focus on Dark Arts, Core, and Sneak. It'll pay off in the long run.
-Try to get into the Room of Requirement as soon as you can, so that you can tame beasts, and get those upgrade materials. You can have up to 4 species per vivarium, up to 15+ beasts.

-The more you zoom-in on the map, the more activities you can see, like beast spots, powerful enemies and field guides. The more you zoom-out you can see how many treasures you have left to discover.

Have fun!

I have the 970 Pro and I am so tempted by the 980 Pro. Not that I need it, just that the read speed is so crazy impressive.

So I actually intended to get it to upgrade my laptop, but for whatever reason, I couldn't get it to work after copying the hard drive. So I put it in my gaming desktop and yeah I really like it!

I just upgraded from a 980pro to a wd sn850x... But it was timeto try a clean w11 install and I didn't want to trample my good w10 install, so two fast drives was the answer. My old sata m2 was starting to show wear so the 980 is now my data drive.
I like fast loading. All the pcie4 stuff is nice.
I also have 10gb Ethernet to my PC... Wish I could do better than 3.6gb/s for backups, but the target is sata...

Did all of that. XD
Something not mentioned that I did fk up my first playthrough before I had to restart.
All the brooms are the same stat wise. Everything with them is just cosmetic.

Also why are words/names blocked if it's a SP game only?
Moistnminge was blocked so I went with Hardmeat. (Yes I'm a child)

Samsung Pro SSD reliability questioned as longtime partner shifts to Sabrent

Puget Systems Blog

These guys are a local business and I trust them slightly more than Samsung's marketing department.

I'd give it a miss for the time being.

jumped into my news feed via pcmag the other day.

it's about 60 steam games for 'pay-what-you-want', 100% of proceeds going to turkey disaster relief.

seems like a lot of duds, but some decent games as well in there for a price that literally can't be beat.

Great cause and I've been meaning to pick up Gotham Knights and Ticket to Ride. I'm in.

Son's of the Forest

The game is beautiful for sure. It's fun to play but the cannibals now having AI are relentless in normal mode. The GPS having all of the caves and POIs make it too easy to run through the story though.

After a week and a couple of days of casual game play, I beat the game with a buddy doing both endings. It was fun and I'm going to hop back in to do more building but with the cannibals in SOTF, you don't have the space you need to focus on just your buildings if you're not an aggro-holic. I do hope they bring some balance back to the game or create a "fertile grounds" area like The Forest where you could build and not be bothered.
