Power equals Speed

Since this sub-forum is where the Power is, 300HP+

WHAT IS THE HIGHEST SPEED ACHEIVED on a FI Twin on a stationary surface ie a track or abandoned airfield ect(not a dyno) since I know none of us here would drive above the speed limit on a public street..

From what I have read the stock maxes out around 142 Mph, the FI no idea.

How did it feel at that speed ?

Now, that is not what I would have expected...

The 6th gear is so tall (at least on the AT) and with 7400 rpm redline It have thought closer to 200.. esp given that this is a very aerodynamic chassis.

I have the AT and 6th can honestly go on forever. Especially with a tune that can pass the 7400 limit and stretch it out to 8k. Honestly anything above 160 and this car will be sketchy, definitely needs some rigidity improvements (frame, motor mounts, etc.) along with suspension and tires that can handle the heat.

My tune has the speed limited to 140 but it could keep going. Only thing that would have held me back is my gearing. I have a 4.56 r&p and at 140 I was already at 6800rpms in 6th gear. I have the power to go faster but really there is no reason to. My car is my daily so I'll never see those speeds.

Innovate supercharged w/ intercooler
70mm pulley
Nameless header & 3" exhaust
Tuned on E85
4.56 ring & pinion

Please be safe..

Honestly, I thought we'd have some 190+ mph postings.

Light car + high HP mods + ZR tires & suspension = really Fast

I guess, I was hoping this might be something to break the 200 Mph mark.

Then again you need a pretty special proving ground for those speeds.

Salt Flats ?

Gearing is the issue here, stock gearing wont even let you break 180.

Maybe fullblowns car could since they have a transmission swap but I dont know the gearing on that car to say
