Hey Everyone! Today we installed a brand new Borla Cat Back exhaust onto Project Chimera! (picture coming soon)

First thoughts in regards to setup: Great kit - arrived well boxed / padded and with complete instructions.

Install: So most times you will hear about us installing a part on our own... Well this time around due to lack of lift, we opted to hit one of new favored shops REN Motorsports in San Mateo,CA - After lifted installed went super quick!

Sound: I almost could not wait for the tires to touch the ground before I got into our project - Turned the key... and finally... heard the sound I had been waiting to hear. A great beastly roar that filled the whole shop with an awesome sound. Revving the engine just made it sound better and better.

First drive: The first drive with this exhaust was intense - Sound was just awesome. Project Chimera is an automatic 6 speed... In auto mode shifts were good sounding, however once we threw her into manual mode and used the paddle shifters... She really came to like... If over revved you got a nice popping noise that made the hairs on my arm raise!

Cruising around in the FR-S we enjoyed a nice sound that really brings the engine and car to life. We are really looking forward to many more miles and a great future with Borla Exhaust products!

We will have some post install pics for sure... we will also gladly jack the car up and take some images of the under side...

Great gains - remember we had also installed an airaid cold air intake also - I think we gained another 5hp or so... We also gained great sound...

How loud is it inside cabin when driving around?

Can you post up an interior vid when you get a chance?

Definitely interested in cabin drone and volume now and after it has 'carboned up' a bit (about a month down the track. Usually deepens up nicely by then

Yea, I am interested in Borla pipes but very concern with interior sound during DD.

Got a dyno sheet to go with that, or are you just assuming it made power?
