These have been in testing for years. This is the first time money was there to get everyone focused on updating for this variant this quickly (sars/mers already had some work and testing which helped speed this one along).

You're welcome to be skeptical still - they haven't been in use for humans for decades yet, and there are always things that don't show in other testing. But odds are lower that something has been missed than your chances of running into one of the more obscure, but known side effects of a virus vectored vaccine. And those are still extremely low.

Took the day off. I got the bonus plan. Fever/chills, body aches, blah blah... No pain - no gain. Ugh.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Ultra is annoyingly spry and unaffected.

My low-grade fever finally stabilized so I'm no longer having chills. It's fine. Feels like a common cold except with body aches instead of sinus inflammation. I'm glad that I planned for the downtime.

You may wish to kick back tomorrow also -

It took my shoulder about 3 days not to be sore. On day, 3 I'm suffering some fatigue. Of course, it's nap time - when I always suffer some fatigue -

I mean this CRISPR stuff is how they genetically alter mice. Not like from birth, like modify their genes in already living mice. I'm still a God baby... for now.

(and no I'm not that religous just sayin)

Fever broke an hour or so ago. Now it's too damn hot in the house! Maybe it's menopause.

Yep, that male menopause can be a bitch -

I felt weak while grocery shopping at Walmart this morning, but, I made it through. Ever try to find a place to "sit down" in a Walmart?

I took a long nap, but I still feel unsteady and weak. I took my temperature and it was low (96 degrees F). Maybe I'm dying?????

There's always that bench near the front with.. the McDonald's clown? If they have a McD's in yours.

I always hated it though, because as a kid I was scared of clowns. And TBH I still don't understand the damn point of them but to be creeps!!

Also, hope you get a good rest tonight! Maybe a good sleep will help.

Yes, you are right - I forgot about those seats up front -

Speaking of clowns, I remember when I was a small child, - oh, never mind -

Yep, good nights sleep -

Got my second shot and apart from being a bit slow the next day, no symptoms. Very different from my wife who was down for a couple days, first with chills and body aches and then just tiredness. There's a theory that the extent of your side effects depends on your lifetime exposure to other coronaviruses and perhaps colds/flus in general, i.e. the more times you've been sick, the less of a reaction you'll have. Checks out for me, since I was a vegetarian for 5 years and used to get sick a lot (now my diet consists mostly of meat), while my wife is 8 years younger than me and doesn't get sick much at all.
