And the wheels! They actually look GREAT, and not like the wagon-wheels on my '17 PP.
The wheels do hit the bullseye. Sporty without being too showy, with that nickel-type finish they look like a forged aftermarket offering. Thank the lord the diamond-cut look is finally being dumped. VW by contrast is doubling down on it:

I don't find it "overdesigned, pretty restrained really. The vent aft of the front wheels is done very well, and I *hate* those on most cars. I think it's as good-looking as the current-gen, maybe a bit more so, love them both!

Butt looks bigger (more bootylicious?) due to restyled aft upper hips/taillights, it's not really any bigger or more "out there". Personally I really REALLY wish they would drop the +2 seats and move the rear wheels along with hips and bumper/bootay forward about 10", keeping the taillights/spoiler where they are, giving it a more Kamm-back rear and fixing the abysmal 55/45 weight distribution while cutting some weight. But hey, we can't always get what we want, *exactly*. For me, this is by far the closest to what I want and need in a car vs. everything else on the market and looks like a solid improvement over current-gen. They didn't screw it up! Which they easily could have...

Agree totally. Less weight and a shorter overall length. I’ve only used the rear seats as a cargo shelf, that whole area could be shortened (alas at the expense of the slightly lower insurance rates which I assume come w/ a 2+2).

considering how he keeps whining about how unreliable and broken the twins are every chance he gets (and by extension subaru)...im guessing more people who would rather whine about the car than just go find something else to enjoy?

I'd *love* it if they did a 3-door "shooting brake" FT86 a la clownshoe/Ferrari breadvan!

Maybe more like a Pre-C8 Corvette, they tend to have a completely flat butt with a short rear overhang.

Hey my dog needs that backseat.

That's a good picture of the 2022 BRZ. The side is a little too "swoopy" for me but it still works.
