How bad is this???

So I was cleaning up everything one last time before my next track day on Friday and when I looked really close at the rotors I noticed this. I don’t know why I didn’t see this before when I took the wheels off to check the brakes but now I’m a little concerned.

So…. How bad is this? Can I get away with another track day on these?

Nah, nothing to worry about. That's normal heat checks. You're looking out for cracks. Here's a good explanation.

You just gave me a HUGE sigh of relief. Thank you for that!

I also just realized I threw away my last set of OEM rotors for no reason….

Normal heat cracks, don't be concerned until they're large enough to catch you fingernail on. Spare rotors are cheap to carry around as spares once they get more used-up.

FWIW, here's what mine look like after 18 track days. No plans to replace them at the moment, but if anyone sees something they don't like, lemme know!

Mine look the same. But seriously, get some spares from Rock Auto and just keep them with you. Any crack reaching the edge of the rotor is cause for immediate replacement.

Those are not concerning. Here's an example of a concerning crack:

So I’ve never bought rotors from Rock Auto. Damn I didn’t know you could get Centric rotors for 30 bux… Seems a bit suspect to me. Maybe I’ll get the daily driver or coated Centric but still it’s only 50… Interesting…

I buy my centric blanks on Amazon. Even comes with "prime". Easy and cheap.

It's within anyone's means. Just like anyone can return the shopping cart to the corral.
You know that was some weak sauce, admit it.

I would hope so if they're tracking, but many folks prefer to vote short term with their wallets.
