Another Toyota Airbag logo swap...

This is not as much as of a new DIY but just my way I did it.

Here is how it came out and the way I did it can be found on my site.

Yes and the will to know that you may very well screw the entire thing up and be forced to find a new one or buy the crazy expensive one you really want but can't justify.

I did this over a week or so, working a few minutes each day after work.

I dig it!

What's so time consuming and potentially screw-up-able about this mod?

Well if you make a mistake when prying/cutting off the logo or if you make a mistake with the dremmel you could mess up your airbag.

Probably the best Toyota logo swap I've seen thus far. I'm too lazy and would screw it up, so I just got the 86 bag, but really nice job man.

So question, how does the airbag cover come off, do you just grasp it and pull?

Thinking about having this made for my steering wheel badge. I think it'd be a ton easier since you have have it custom made to the exact existing hole size (can anyone measure their original steering wheel badge?).

Found this website here: http://www.domedbadge.co.uk/

Only problem I can see is, the company is in the UK...

I left mine on and did it in the car lol.

There is a great DIY on here to take it off. You basically put a screwdriver in three holes in the shroud surrounding the wheel and release the clips. Then pop it off and unhook the cable.

So what year and model toyota are these badges you guys are using to do the swap. I'm afraid if I order the wrong one it may be to small or crazy big
