Second gen engine tuning

Wanted to start a discussion about second gen tuning. As of this writing, there aren't engine tuning options. Do we know if EcuTek has plans to provide a tuning solution for these cars?

Very little info available

Appears new model car ( we dont have them in my country yet) may have complety new ECU, I asked a guy a in

USA to try read the new model with Ecutek and ecutek could not connect to car. This suggests ecu is completly different than old version.

Im sure Ecutek and Alientech and possibly Tactrix will work on accessing new ECU and allowing tuning on new platform but may take some months.

For them to abandon the platform before Valentine’s Day? No thanks, I’ll wait for ECUtek. After going with Shiv on 2 platforms I’ve learned my lesson.

That's assuming both use the same security to lock out the engine ECU. Unlikely but possible.

It doesn't appear Subaru is known for using European engine ECUs with more security. My bet is this ECU will be cracked in a relatively short time.

I'm interested to see if this new ECU runs air/fuel in full time closed loop. Do we know if the Ascent FA24 runs in full time closed?

Does Ecutek have any offices in US to start reverse engineering the new platform? Not sales offices ..

European cars will delay a lot!

Shouldn't delay cracking it. If someone wants to crack the ECM, you can just buy a brand new one and ship it. If the ECM needs to be plugged into the car, you can remotely jailbreak it.

With such a big aftermarket following, I'm pretty sure EcuTek is committed to this platform. Too much revenue to give up by ignoring the new generation.

I suppose they had a similar process to crack different ECU versions across regions (NA/EU/ASIA/...)

In Germany we tried to get into the new Yaris GR software, which didn't work well. then we did it with the new syveces ecu and that works well
I drive the Motec M150 in my GT86 racing car
I think a new control unit in the GR86 will also be better than experimenting with Ecuteck

yes we do that, the days with naturally aspirated engines in the DTM and the STW were great years i love high-speed engines without turbo
