https://www.instagram.com/pete.lete/ The main goal of the build was to be clean looking as possible. I wanted something that I could daily, but be pretty competitive at the track with. The car was supercharged before with a C38 kraftwerks kit that gave me nothing but problems, snapping belts, and pulley failures. After Kraftwerks completely decided to ignore my improvement/enhancements requests and their lack of customer service, I decided to part ways. It was supercharged for about 30k miles on the stock motor that saw years of track days and daily driving. Now fast forward to today, I'm currently running a JDL UEL GTX2860r Turbo kit that I am EXTREMELY happy with. I should have really just done this from the start. The GTX2860r is a way more efficient compressor than the C38 unit. With the turbo I can run LESS boost, but get MORE power. The C38 just wasn't as efficient. Possibly doing a -3.5 in the front and -2.5 in the back, and possibly changing toe to something. Still need to do more research. In addition, at a certain point alignment specs become more of a personal preference. I'm assuming you're adjusting your current exhaust setup because its too loud? I've got the borla cat-back and looking at also going with the Tomei uncatted UELs. Would you be so kind as to let me know how well that front pipe works out for you? I might need to quiet my system down a bit too.. |

Thus, I saw the JDL front over pipe. There weren't really any other 3 inch front pipes, other than I think nameless makes one. I really liked the vband connection with the JDL. Same thing with the Perrin catback. What I noticed from videos was that the 3 inch exhaust with a catless header was way too loud and my current setup was already on the louder side... so hopefully with what I have on order shouldn't be too much louder than what I have already. As soon as I get everything and installed, I'll probably be posting sound clips to compare the differences with my sound measuring mic.

I got a tomei EL paired up with my 3 inch perrin catback over the summer and it's been great. Warmed up it's nice and loud and for my long trips between the bay area and phoenix for school it only dulls my hearing for an hour or so that's 80 mph cruising with the seats down though. You'll love it!

Perrin 3" Resonated CBE and JDL Ultra Quiet Over Front Pipe
All I can say is wow. All this stuff is amazing quality. JDL especially blows me away with their welds. Can't wait to put this stuff on. Invidia N1 will be up for grabs once it's taken off and the tomei overpipe with o2 bung.

Finally got some decent weather to install the exhaust!
JDL Ultra Quiet Over Front Pipe and Perrin 3 Inch Resonated. I was worried about the clearance since it is a 3 inch pipe. Probably a few mm to spare. This is the overpipe of JDL. I honestly thought it was going to vibrate and rattle against the car, but not one noise. JDL makes great stuff.

I'll be selling my Perrin exhaust soon. I feel like it wasn't loud enough so I went and grabbed a Tomei 80R. Feel free to PM. It's still so new, I have all the stickers, license plate frame and accessories that it came with when it was shipped.

Nice welds on the JL stuff. Some of them welds on the Perrin stuff are not as clean as I would of expected for the price.
