Vinyl Numbers
My upcoming track day pre-assigns car numbers for the event. My daughter has a Cricut vinyl cutting machine and would love to cut my numbers for me. I want to have her do it, but I am concerned about being able to peel them off at the end of the day.
Does anyone know of a vinyl that will survive a day or two and will peel off without too much difficulty or any paint damage? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |

Oracal 651 works great. I’ve used it with my cricut for track numbers a number of times. Peels off easy, no damage. https://expressionsvinyl.com/oracal-651-12-x-12/ Michael’s also has it |

You're overthinking it. Even a cheap vinyl will last a few days and remove without issue. I've hand cut some out of no-name black vinyl from Michael's (craft supplies and hobby shop). Just don't leave them on there baking in the sun for months.
You're going to have bigger paint issues on track, and those issues don't come from stuff that you put on your car Even when they do get baked on, it might leave a residue imprint if you have a light colored car. I would gander that can be fixed with a DA machine and some compound+polish. The worst part of removing baked on stickers is scraping and flaking all of the brittle vinyl material off, then being patient with goo-gone with any of the adhesive that didn't come up with the vinyl. Again baking on doesn't happen in days, even weeks. It takes months and years. |

Basically any vinyl will work great for that, but I can vouch for Oracal 651. I'd recommend getting a plastic razor blade for pulling up the edge when you are done.
