Invidia N1 or Borla Catback??

So I am stuck between these two catbacks. I've searched youtube for sound clips, but we all know how the videos/mics may not be the best. I plan on adding a UEL header to either exhaust in the future and keep at least one cat, that being a HFC. I like the sound and tone of both exhaust, but its had to get a grasp on how loud, deep, growl, volume, and drone that each exhaust has. I'm not expecting a huge increase in performance from either exhaust. Any input from those who own or heard these exhaust in person and can chime in would be grateful!! Thanks!!

Nameless Performance is my choice, although I just added a third instead of choosing between the two. I don't think the N1 sounded very loud when I've heard drive bys, but I've never been inside the car with an N1. It was more of a medium loudness.

I'd suggest go with a catback whose muffler looks similar to stock in layout. Apparently the stock unit acts as a diffuser, so without it drag will increase. I went with Magnaflow.

I had read about that also. That's one reason why I was leaning towards the Borla, because they have a diffuser for their catback. How do you like your Magnaflow?

I'm running the N1. Don't have any complaints about it. I like how it looks so different and has a strong presence on the vehicle. I feel like if you wanna go a bit "wild" the N1 for looks definitely sets it apart.

The sound is very deep and when you giv'r it gets quite loud. The drone is also something not everyone might be able to live with, but I found that I can have a conversation in it without much issues. But it definitely is a loud exhaust.

I haven't heard the Borla in person, but from the videos it appears to be the same loudness as the N1, so I think your best bet is to track down someone running them. It's hard to track down people right now, but it's going to have to be a sound you live with every time you get into the vehicle, so might be worth it.

Here's a video I made of the N1 on my vehicle.

It's great all around although I've driven with it installed a total 5 miles. Seems like a reputable make. Hoping to get it on the road for April 1.

Thanks for the video, I also saw this one on youtube. It's just so hard to really hear how loud and deep the exhaust sounds on video clips. It's gonna be hard to track down another FRS in my area. I own 1 of 2 FRS's in my city. lol The other one is also %100 stock. I may pick up the N1..not sure yet. Gonna do some more research and also find out if a rear diffuser will fit with the N1. Thanks!

Awesome. I'm just not sure if it's loud enough for me.

If that's the case get a Nameless muffler delete.

I was thinking about that. But then it may be TOO loud. Guess I'm a little picky.

Well, if you don't like the Nameless(my personal favorit and what I am currently waiting to ship with a catless front/overpipe) get the Borla and if it's not loud enough get a catless test pipe.

I may just do that and add the Borla UEL header. Hopefully it will satisfy.

With those two things and the headers it should be plenty loud, you may even want to keep the second cat.
