I don't know if it's possible with Scangauge, but I turned mine off using the Carista app on Android (gotta pay the $20 in-app one time fee) connected to a $10 blue tooth OBD-II scan port. Lets you tinker with a lot of factory defaults, like DRL on/off, single button press to unlock all doors, arm/disarm beep volume, etc.

Sorry if that's not the answer you're looking for, just thought it might help.

Having some issues with mine and wondering if anyone else has dealt with something similar. I set it up with the codes for oil temperature and it was working fine for a few days but then stopped working. There is no number displayed for oil temp now. I did a reset and that didn't help, I blanked out the x gauge and made a new one with the correct codes and that didn't help, I disconnected the scangauge and drove around for awhile and reconnected it and that didn't help either.

One thing I noticed at the same time as it initially broke was that the default display for water temperature changed from "deg F WT" to just "LWT", but it has since changed back.

Been testing it for several weeks now. The only issue is that the refresh rate on the ScanGuage is pretty slow for a PID of this nature but it works perfectly fine so long as you are not tuning with it. It is a good way to keep an eye on it if something were to go wrong.

Also keep in mind the AFR on these vehicles is pretty innacurate below 11.2:1 with the factory wideband so anything you see below that should be taken with a grain of salt. This is perfectly fine but just something you need to be aware of. The gauge will really not see anything below 10.8:1 and should not be used for tuning but rather general monitoring. I have datalogged the ScanGauge with EcuTek for comparison and other than the speed of display its good to go. I will post the codes later. I just don't happen to have them on me at the moment.

My current display setup for reference is Boost, AFR, IAT, and Oil Temp. The only PID I really wish I could figure out is the KR (knock retard). Other than that the ScanGauge is a great option that is super cheap compared to competition for general monitoring.
Could you post up the codes for boost please?

Attachment 28549 is the list of supported standard (mode 01) PID for 86/BRZ/FR-S. This list is created from the Wiki’PID, and I highlighted the ones that are supported by our cars.

Here is an example of how to make use of the doc I created:
From the Xgauge cansf list, the short Term Fuel Trim Bank 1 has the TXD 07E00106. The 01 (07E00106) is the mode #. The 06 (07E00106) is the PID. Now look at the doc I attached. It shows the PID 06 is supported, which means that xgauge code works on our cars. The PID 07, On the other hand, is not highlighted on the list. That means the Short Term Fuel Trim Bank 2 is not supported.

Thank you Andery for finding the PID and torque’s code for oil temperature. Without him, I don’t think I can get the oil temp for xgauge.
Is anyone aware if these codes are the same on MY17s?

I am sorry for bumping such an old post, but I figure if anyone does know this would be the most convenient place for others to find in the future.

Anyone happen to get oil temp working on 2022+? I've tried both of these for Fahrenheit with no joy...

Code:
07E02101 032500000000 4808 00090005FFD8
07E02101 010702E80324 3008 00090005FFD8
# Edit to add also tried this one from here: https://www.gt86ownersclub.co.uk/threads/ultragauge-finding-oil-temperature-as-custom-gauge.19764/
07E02101 010702E80324 3008 00010001FFD8
Thanks!

Edit:

I ended up finding this thread: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147905 . Seems like it may just be limited data available through OBD2 without making requests via SSM. Thanks to @timurrrr and @DocWalt for the work and documentation.
