Makes sense...didn't mean to cause so much ruckus over it, your post was just the most recent one I've seen and wanted to ask in general. Thanks.

Well now, that would logically follow ...... maybe you have just started something .......

It would have been even more appropriate back in the day, when tires had tubes inside of them.

ok guys I'm having a slight wheel dilemma. I bought a set of wheels 18x8.5" with 275/35 tires, the backs are fine but as you'd imagine the fronts rub like nobody business. My rims are a squared setup 8.5 all round but can i stagger my tires? can i put 235/45 or 245/40 on the front and leave the rears as they are?

Sure, you can throw a narrower tire on there. Depends on how much you want to stretch them. Also depends if you want to be able to rotate them.
Also depends on what you want to use it for. Running fat tires just for looks? Is your car lowered? Tracking this bad boy?
You might want to read the wheel/tire fitment threads before doing more modifications to it

i don't want to stretch the tires, ideally id like it to be the correct width so that it doesn't rub anymore. I do like the way the fat tires look but i wasn't planning on running tires that wide, its what the rims came with and no i don't plan on tracking this car everything I'm doing to this car is mainly aesthetic but I'm trying not to compromise daily drivability

Puncture. Tyre levers, pull the inner tube out and patch.

Pop it back inflate and carry on.

Plus old inner tubes made for fun float trips down rivers; the really old ones could be cut into strips for use on rubber band guns .....

I washed and polished my new one for the first time today, cleaned and oil sprayed the K&N air filter, ready to pick up a new set of shoes and cruise to the "F8 of the Furious" meet tomorrow!
