Way too much unnecessary information thrown my way but thanks for trying any way.

Yes i live in california, and just like any where else, in the winter time it gets a bit cold. Unlike other places it may not reach to temperatures that you might say is freezing, but just like normal human beings, it gets a bit uncomfortable getting into and driving a very cold car.

Second, i don’t really care about my warranty because i bought the car used, and i have an extended warranty, so I’m not really paying attention to that.

Third, i don’t need information on hemorrhoids because I’m not intending to use such heat that will make my asshole explode into pieces. So no need to go there.

I would appreciate any helpful information on the topic, because that’s why these forums are for right? So thanks any way, move it along!

I know that some dealers installed aftermarket seat heaters into base FRS/BRZ as an add-on option. It's not OEM but I bet you could find out which brand the dealerships most commonly use.

I want to say I read somewhere that the wiring and hookup for heated seats is there even if you don't have it.

It might be worth pulling the seat and looking for it. Like I said "I WANT TO SAY I READ IT SOMEWHERE" although I can't find it now.

If the wiring is there, it would be almost as simple as pulling the OEM heated seat pads out of a car, or even swapping in limited seats. The limited seat swap would be plug and play....IF THE WIRING IS THERE. Swap the console / switches and you'd have an OEM setup.

Otherwise, @funwheeldrive is correct in seeing aftermarket heated seats. I've seen a couple FRS with that as a dealer installed option, may be worth looking in to.

Meh. They are just so used to such bizarre warnings that they don't mean anything any more.

If this is true, my apologies. I don’t mean to be that guy who takes offense very easily, so maybe i over reacted. I’m just really interested in making my car the way i want it, and that’s just an accessory I’d like to have as an option. Again, my apologies.

I sit in the car at temperatures reaching -20 for about a month a year and never felt that the cloth seats were cold. Would looove the heated steering wheel the wife's Impreza has though.

Oh, that's OK, sometimes I get a bit carried away - me.

I will agree that heated seats are a nice feature, even up here in the PNW, where it doesn't get really that cold. mrs humfrz has a car with heated seats that I use twice a day to transport granddaughters to and from school. When my back was hurting me, I would turn them on to make my back feel better. After my back surgery, I'm not in pain anymore, but, I still turn them on, just because it makes my 76 year old butt/back feel good -

You may check around at your local wrecking yards to see if they have any heated seats that are in good condition?

Or, maybe inquire in the advertising section of this forum, for anyone who has swapped out their heated seats for racing seats and would be interested in selling them?

Have a great weekend!

i have a heated seat cover in the truck. i'm still using it, and it's starting to be 30-40F in the mornings. it's nice to have that little bit of quick heat while the motor warms up (i don't warm my cars up for 20 minutes before leaving).
