Specific Track Rules?

Are there any track regulations I have to follow for the FR-S?

In short, not really. You can take a bone stock FRS or BRZ out on track with most any organization.

I would not advise you to read the SCCA rulebook. There is so much crap in there that you'll just end up confused.

Some organizations might require you to remove the floor mats and spare tire and tools, but that's really about it.

When in doubt, ask the event organizers when you sign up for the event (assuming you are registering before hand).

Don't do that unless you're planning on also getting:

- A roll bar
- Harnesses (5 or 6 point)
- Head/neck restraint

stock seat is pretty good for the casual racer.

i would only ever upgrade if i went with a 5 point harness or something.

not necessarily

some people are baller and like to spend on the street-use, reclinable, carbon fiber, dead-baby-elephant-clad Recaros...

but yeah, i would assume he's thinking of buckets? then again OP sounds sketch and should probably attend a track school before anything else.

your question is unorthodox, what is it that you're actually asking?

"do certain tracks have specific rules that no other tracks follow" or are you asking about general track ettiquete or are you asking about safety-gear or car prep for track duty?

again i'm going to assume that you just mean lapping /HPDE days and even "grassroots" events like time-attack and auto-cross...

for all of these car prep is optional and you can bring your car in almost any configuration possible.

generally the only thing that is required is that you have a helmet and that your car isn't too loud.
