Catalytic Converter

Hey Guys,

I was wondering how many catalytic converter we have in our car? And where are they located.

I know that we have two cats, but others say we only have one. I'm planning to get uncatted headers, and I'm worried about the smell.

If I take out the stock header, will the smell still be obvious that I have uncatted headers?

one in front pipe, one in header. It will smell and be very loud if you take them out.

So if I keep my front pipe, the smell would still be eliminated.

Thank you so much for the diagram Tcoat!

It will be substantially reduced with one still in place. You will have a bit more smell than with two but not horrid.

It smells like racecar after a hard drive on a hot day. Nothing wrong with that

I doubt the cops actually give a shit. They're just doing what they're told to do by your idiot legislature, which is elected by your idiot population. When you get pulled over, remember that this is exactly what the people want and have asked their legislators and governor to enact.

No doubt. Most of the clowns in Sac are there via San Francisco, and I don't think San Francisco has produced a decent politician in my lifetime. 12 cent a gallon gas tax coming in November, and the one democrat with the balls to vote against it was thrown off all of the committees he was on. As per usual that money will find its way into the general fund and the roads will remain as f*cked up as ever while Jerry builds his magic trains and water tunnels.

Hahah, I swear it is impossible to have a thread about catalytic converters and NOT get into a discussion about smell/smog/running catless/environment/nazi california, etc

EPA is a Federal institution and has punishments of a few thousand bucks for tampering with emissions equipment last I checked.
#ourgovernment

Without emissions laws Los Angeles (and likely several other regions) would be a toxic wasteland.
