Exclamation OFT STAGE 1 running rich?

hey guys,

ive had my FRS tuned with a OFT Stage 1 91oct (OTS) for about 2 months now. i haven't had any problems with the tune so far and i have always filled up with shell 91oct since the day i got the car. for the past two weeks i have found a rpm range where i can make the exhaust slightly pop (I LOVE IT!). but every day now it smells like my car is running rich and even with normal driving i can sometimes smell it. i know its not really much of a problem as it shouldn't harm anything im just wondering what's with the sudden change?

Your best bet would be to use the OFT to take a log of normal driving and a 3rd gear WOT pull from low rpm to redline. At a minimum make sure AFR, Command AFR, LTFT and STFT are all logged. Upload the log to Datazap and post the link here. You will get some good feedback from the many knowledgable people here.

Did you make any mods to tune ie the exhaust pop/backfire mods ?
If you did it likely those mods causing issue as the pops ect are due to unburnt fuel igniting in exhaust, if it does not ignight then its going to just be unburnt fuel hence "rich" smell.

also do as per previous post if you have not modded tune
