Curious to see the red in person. It’s certainly my choice for the car but charging extra for a red makes me think it will have some added depth to the color which I wasn’t expecting.

Red probably sold best on the first gen, so it likely they are just pricing it higher to take advantage of that.

Could be, I did see a lot of white first gens too. Though, I take it the reason why they're charging a premium for Red and White is because it's the two main colors they've been featuring prominently in all of the marketing, making those specific colors more enticing for a lot of people.

Isn’t it the same as Subaru’s no-cost Ignition Red paint though? Hard to believe it has that extra depth but the Subaru doesn’t.

Also a valid possibility.

They said they did change the red for 2022, claiming added depth and stuff.
But as others have mentioned, Subaru doesn't charge any extra for the exact same new red.

There’s no way that’s the same red as Subaru or even previous Toyota red. That bRed has a LOT more depth and color variance than just “red”.

Isn't the white a pearl? And if so, then the price premium makes sense since it would be a three stage paint. Red is a difficult color and the tones are the most expensive, but don't think it should cost anymore considering it's not a metallic or pearl. Oh well.

No news yet, I guess, but perhaps this is the place to follow for European-specific dates?

I thought the twins weren't being released in Europe this generation. Did I get that wrong?

I stand corrected. I did a search. It was announced that the BRZ is not going to Europe. But no word on the 86 as of yet. I hope you all get it.
