Didn't they also say that anyone could upgrade their BRZ to the STi version if they wanted? Something along the lines of "You don't need to wait to buy one, you'll be able to upgrade to STI spec"?

Along those lines, all of what is going on makes sense. Any changes would involve things that don't require a high amount of disassembly. If they did ECU tuning that didn't require engine modification, it'd be fairly easy to get the power bump.

Why is there a penis spray painted on the track?

Are the seats different; look like racing buckets??

I wonder if anyone heard what it sounded like on Bridge to Gantry?

It could also be an potential VLN car for next year, although it looks a bit 'road car' for that.

Love it other than that stupid wing and I think those are 18s and I much prefer 17s. Wings like those are so cool at the track/autox and so dumb on the street. I hope they do a duck style spoiler but then again Subaru STi spoilers don't have a good history for good appearance.

Interested.

Why is Hachi always the first to post important news?

uh... couldn't this just be someone's personal car? It just looks like a normal BRZ with the STI parts that are already on sale and an aftermarket wing. I don't see any datalogging equipment.

Possibly, but Hachi mentioned an unusually large contingent of people w/the car.

Also, notice the secondary GPS antenna mounted in the middle of the roof. Could be hooked to a VBOX or the like and they simply didn't dash mount the VBOX displays...

Cannot tell if the hood and roof is CF painted or stock? Also the Sti fender logo on the concept car is not here.

who knows, maybe an N/A BRZ STi would be what this car needs?

9k redline, maybe a little increase in displacement, this car can be great! although i'm more excited about the 9k redline because of my rx8

although i still want a turbo haha

i think the engine could use some lift profile on the AVCS if any changes are made to the engine.

other than that...looks like a BRZ ts to me as I predicted since...forever?
