How to build ITBs

So not to stray from my Engine build thread here:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63901

I figured I would make a separate thread searchable via forums.
I picked up a scrap manifold from a well known FI kit. I have been trying to get one for over a year. Finally they had one, so don't think there is a plethora laying around that everyone can follow along.

It arrives next week so I can plan on how to attack it.

Good luck. I'm interested to see how you approach it. Really think it's worth cutting up an existing manifold to make two separate ITB manifolds?

Or do you have something else in mind?

What throttle bodies are you planning to use?

*raises hand*
What's the difference, performance wise, of having four itb verses four tuned length runners from a plenum and one throttle body?

Longer your runners the more torque is built but at high end you lose HP.
BUT YOU WILL LOSE A BIT OF TORQUE WITH A SHORT RUNNER. But gain more top end. Additionally if you look at our factory manifold the passenger runners are longer then driver side. I have seen numbers on stock head flow they should be able to support 300HP easy but the problem lies in the induction as myself and others speculate. AKA intake manifold is a choke point. Additionally I have not done the math but I am sure 4 individual throttle bodies probably flow better and have more velocity and cylinder filling capabilities then a single throttle body like stock

Are you planning a mechanical throttle, or one electric motor with linkage to the other bank, or 2 motors for actuation?

Probably single motor with linkage but I do have 2 spare motors, I considered electronics to split and duplicate the single from 1 to 2 motors. Additionally ability to tune individual signals to verify synchronized opening.
