My dad is 74 and gets in and out of his 996 911 on coilovers, so I have a lot of sports car driving to live up to. |

Just wandered in from the 2 Gen BRZ forum next door.
49 here, but will roll over the big 5-0 this spring. The car is a daily and I find all of the odd looks I get from people when they see someone my age get out of the car. Everyone else my age around here seems to drive a truck. |

I got one of those when they replaced my femur.
By the way, I decided to keep the BRZ (and the Camry - for now). The BRZ was hit while stopped back in 2017 and, as a result, isn't worth much on trade in. General Spaulding and I discussed it and concluded that 1) we live in deep South Stumblefuck, 3 days drive from the beginning of most interesting stuff therefore 2) buying a $48k OBW would simple buy us the pleasure of droning for 1200 miles on the interstate to get to our starting point, we will therefore 3) keep our current stable and fly to wherever we want to start, rent a ride and go see stuff. If/when we need to replace the Camry it'll probably be an EV. To the OP - if you want what the car is and like what it does it's the perfect car regardless of your age. That's one of the beauties of aging - it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks - your field of fucks is overgrown with weeds and you don't have any left to give.

I am 63 and picked up a blue 2023 BRZ manual a few days ago. I am really liking this car.

I'm 56 and just got the GR86. Havent joined AARP quite yet. This thread is a trip to read. For me, wanted something I could customize and track and not break the bank. Had an Evora which is a more refine chassis and sexy but niche. Also considered new Z or C7 but market just to stupid. And yea, had a station wagon back in pac man days but was happy as clam to have had wheels!!
Looking forward to learning from forum. Definitely few things to do before track day! Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk |

Although I bought my 2014 before hitting 40, I still have not felt the urge to change it to something Buick, Lincoln, Cadillac or similar.

Turned 90 last year and have been tracking for 71 years off and on. Don't plan on stopping 'til I can't get in my car anymore. Just do TNiA and time trials now. No more wheel-to-wheel. First cars were an MG TD and a Cad Allard. Have to do AT now, no more manual because my left leg doesn't work too well, but my right foot works just fine.
