Falken RT660's Recommended Camber
I am planning my next set of tires for the up-coming season. Should get 1 more event out of my RE71's.
I think I have my choices down to 4 tires. All would be 245/40/17's 1) RT 660's 2) Kumo 730's (maybe 255's as they run narrow) 3) Hankook RS4's 4) nankang CR-1s The Question is I only have 2.8-2.9 Camber in the front. Should I get some crash bolts and try for 3.5ish in the front?

Next season of what?
If it's autocross, of the four tires you listed, get the Nankang's. They are better then anything else you listed. And, yes, more camber. |

If you're running 245s on 17x9s, crash bolts might not get you much if anything for camber, depending on wheel offset.

If you buy RT660's you are going to need to buy another set of tires anyway if you do more than 4 days a year.

For autox I have about -4.0 camber up front and -2.5 in the rear with the RCE SS-1's. Feels like it has more grip than the previous -3.25 and -2.2 camber alignment.

You're going to want to buy a pyrometer and learn to use it sooner than later.

I found the CR-1s to be quite good at track events this past year. I ran them back-to-back vs. Yok A052s at Palmer (MA) and I'd say the CR-1s were maybe 0.5s slower. I would guess they should turn similar lap times to RT660 at the track, but that's based on performance of others on the 660s...
A052s should be quicker than any of the tires you mention. I did similar lap times to RS4s running my street Conti ExtremeContact Sports... |

I think the same as @ZDan regarding times, even tho I havent tried the nankangs myself I did the RT660 and A052 and they should be in the ballpark. Small caveat is that the yokos like a lot of camber to work well, Falken can still work with less but also prefer lots of camber. Maybe the CR1s work better on camber limited setups?
