Supercharged FA24
Not sure if this has been posted, but I did a quick search for it and didn't find it.

I get a little triggered everytime someone says the FA24 in the BRZ/GR86 is the Ascent motor... its technically not EXACTLY the same motor.

100% agree. Not the same motor.
Ascent motor is lower compression ratio , only direct injected and turbo from factory , FA24F The BRZ one is higher comp ratio and dual injected NA. FA24D Sent from my SM-G781B using Tapatalk |

Agreed. He does clarify that it is the FA24F with lower compression though. I wonder how easy a swap would be, obviously being that it is already turbo from the factory, it is better suited for abuse.

The FA24F IS DI only buuut since our port injectors are in the IM assuming the FA20 IM ports line up with the block it doesn't matter. You would still end up with DI/PI that the FA20 ECU could handle just with a larger block. It can't possibly be as simple as swapping HW over from the FA20D to the FA24F right, right?

Looks heavy. How much weight does that thing add to the car?

Well people said the same thing of the WRX FA20 being an interesting swap into the 1st gen platform. 8-9 years later, no one's yet been able to make it run without a standalone ECU.

In another thread (about a possible FA24D/FA20D hybrid block swap) where I asked about this (swapping an FA24F block instead), the response was:
So it doesn't appear that an FA24F block swap is simple. FA24D blocks are not yet available from Subaru, but even those could be problematic since their literature said something about changing the engine mount locations...

This is custom for their time attack build and custom belt system. Looks like they have an Accusump style dry sump setup in the alternator spot and put the alternator reverse mounted down on the other side. The double pulleys are to run an eight cog pulley versus the standard six, and I think they are running a larger crank pulley to make more boost because they already maxes out how small they can make the supercharger pulley.

60lbs I think. The extra 200hp can offset the weight fairly easy.
