Right, if anything this change would be a potential negative since now the shock is further from the wheel and would have less control over the wheel.

Rules are what they are for a reason though, I'm not taking that protest bait.

The camber adjustment end does change the shock hole in relation to that end... but the rule specifically says that's legal as noted above.

I think you mis-understood what I meant, because what you just said is agreeing with my point.

FWIW, the charcoal filter thing will be put out for re-wording, who knows what is going to happen at the SEB level since emissions is involved.

The LCA had no support for a change. This is a really old battle going back to Civics/Del Sols/Integras. I couldn't agree more about it being in idgaf land. Personally, I wouldn't buy new arms. But remember, protest committee has already thrown someone out for the SPC ball joint arms, so not a lot of hope that they'd pass me if I was protested.

Maybe we should stop measuring these things and people would go back to not caring. I know I never measured the pitches on my gen1 aftermarket arms, I have no clue if they are legal.

All gen.1 RLCAs are likely illegal on 2022's, because the distance from the subframe bushing to the strut attachment point are different by ~0.5".
This is making a little more sense now that I've thought about it some.

Assuming that the subframe is the source of the increased rear track width and that the arms where measured to be the same length from subframe bushing to knuckle hole (Thanks CSG Mike - https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...7&postcount=57), then the strut attachment probably shifted to keep the rear motion ratio from getting to out of wack.

Nonetheless, I see the issue now. I was coming at it from an overall arm length perspective and was confused as to how that would be illegal. Sounds like if you want to run additional rear camber, then adjustable RUCA's would be the only solution early on since that part carried over from the last gen.

I forgot RUCA adjustable balljoints were available, that would be the way to go for legality in the short term.

Wonder if upper ball joints being the answer will help with the tire rub on the fender then since it’ll suck the top of the tire in more.

I’ve never heard of rubbing in the rear from autox cars, stance cars maybe with some wide wheels and funny offsets, my upper control arms hit the chassis before the tire touches anything, and that’s not accounting for the damper bottoming first.

2022's have bad rubbing issues in the rear because of the wider track

Gotta trade in those +35s I guess? Plenty of +45s available.

Got a link to the specific ones you're referring to please?

I misspoke, it’s not a ball joint it’s a set of eccentric bushings in the a arm like a Miata.

https://www.whiteline.com.au/product..._number=KCA326

You could also do an aftermarket upper control arm like this one;
https://racerxfabrication.com/frs-br...r-control-arms

Given that the rear falls naturally close to them desired camber the whiteline kit should be plenty, if it is a pain in the ass to adjust.

I used the Racer X upper arms on the last gen with good results. They can also be a right PITA to adjust since you have to separate it from the knuckle and rotate the threaded portion of the ball joint. Crap can get in the threads and make it real hard to adjust after a year or so. can only adjust .5deg or so at a time too

Can someone measure precisely (±1 mm) the distance between holes on gen.2 stock RLCAs?

My measurements of the Verus RLCAs:
Knuckle bolt/Strut bolt 104mm
Knuckle bolt/ARB end link bolt 189mm

I should be able to measure the same for a stock gen.1 RLCA in the next few weeks if needed.

Below are photos taken with the iPhone 13 Pro 3x zoom (to minimize perspective distortions) for the reference.
Note that the numbers above were checked visually, not just by looking at these photos (that still have some distortions of the perspective).

I get ~94 for the first, and ~189 for the second.
