Working on hose routing for the turbo water and oil feed. Need a battery, the 4 bolt downpipe gasket, and we should be ready for its first start! Monday maybe!? Then we can sort out anything wrong Monday and Tuesday, get a nice base tune set on the dyno and I'll drive it home!

Wishful thinking, but a man can dream. Dreams are what got me this far

Wife go really sick over the weekend, so I didn't get to spend a moment on it until today.

It's basically ready to start! Just have to plug stuff in

Thank you! I had the opportunity to potentially start the car for the first time yesterday, but I couldn't find the drain plug for the radiator... of all things. Oh well

I'm very much considering getting a JDL front pipe that has the cat in it, if the noise is just too much. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. I'm not worried about power loss, I'm just worried about the survivability of that cat and I want one less point of failure until it runs. I'll talk to Jesse about how much heat he's put through the cats he welds on before I make an executive decision.

I know that design has a lot to do with it, so worst that happens is I buy a proven unit that will handle the heat and be effective! If I were not recirculating the wastegate gases, I wouldn't be concerned.

Drain plug should be in today! But I'm working so I won't be able to do much until next Monday. I did start the car on Monday without coolant and let it run for about 20 seconds before shutting it off. What a novelty- a car that runs!! Added the matching driver's side Verus injector cover

I have also been informed by turbo guard that they are several weeks behind in production. What does this mean for me? I have no filter or protection for my turbo, so there is no way it is leaving the shop until something is protecting it. Maybe I'll find time to put together an intake pipe for the filter I purchased already.

With no visible fluid leaks and long cranking, I know we've got work to do. Likely it needs less fuel on startup - lower compression ratio. When it idled, it seemed pretty good. A couple hiccups could be any number of things. Hopefully more to come next week, maybe a video?

Thank you guys! Still need to figure out an air filter before it can leave the shop for break in. More videos and updates to come. After the clutch has some mileage, it's going on the dyno

K&N 51111 + a 3inch "pipe" coming off the turbo. Can be sourced from amazon and prime delivery

I will likely end up doing something like this. Still working on MacGyvering something with piping and intake filters I have here.

Long term solution will be 4" to 3" coupler with intake piping to put the filter behind the bumper. But for now, anything other than open turbo is the goal, haha
