You can just pull back the trunk lining and unplug the button. You don't have to wait or order anything else.

From what I've read, unplugging the button breaks the circuit and gives the same result as depressing the button. The two contacts on the plug will have to be jumped to enable the trunk to be opened with the release buttons on the dash, trunk lid and key fob.

any links to some of those button covers? And, who needs a kick in the groin region for putting that there? Seriously. Anything in the trunk will hit it when you go around a corner. and these cars are all about cruising in straight lines...
