Are you able to use google maps and such with the factory antenna or does it need to be tethered to a phone for data?

To have live traffic and internet while driving, yes. You will need to tether your phone to the unit via wifi hotspot.

However, you can download regional maps on the google maps app and use them offline with GPS.

A lot of times I just parked next to my house, downloaded a bunch of stuff off my home wifi and used it offline.

The headunit comes with everything that the manufacturer sends. It does not come with the few extra harnesses required to load into our cars.

This is what I had to order extra for the OEM usb and aux port to work, not technically necessary but I would recommend getting them.

What makes it 9/10 and would you throw in the extra wire?
