They will be releasing a new album with Roadrunner Records on Jan 18/2011 titled The Hymn of a Broken Man

It's what I've always wanted

Adam D puts people into a Dreamstate when he plays, hes very talented.
Jesse Leach, after leaving KSE has spent a lot of time in weekend bands refining his voice. He currently plays with Empire Shall Fall which is more of a rock genre so he's developed his voice in a different way.
I liked their album with him that had last serenade on it, havnt heard him since

Alive or Just Breathing and their self-titled debut album. Only two albums Jesse sang in, but they were some of the more hardcore / best albums. As Daylight Dies with Howard was fuckin awesome too.

Ok, I'm a n00b for creating a new thread. Anyway...

I see there are some metal heads here. You guys owe it to yourself to listen to the "Deliverance" album by Opeth. It isn't as thrashy as Killswitch but it is definitely brutal as hell. The great thing about Opeth is the diversity. They released Deliverance and Damnation at the same time. One is pure evil metal and the other is prog ballad stuff. They are like the Pink Floyd of metal. Also check out Between the Buried and Me (BTBAM). They are a little to progressive for most but give em a listen.

#1 ; No problem. It was buried a few pages back.

#2 ; Been there, enjoyed it as much as I could and moved on. For some reason I don't get a good "replay" value from some of their tunes. As I Lay Dying does, and I can't explain why.

#3 ; Checking out commenced. Thanks for sharing.

I do have to add though; whenever a few of my buddies come to town we cruise around playing Opeth and the like very often, and I enjoy it then. I think I need to go to Opeth concert, and be around other people who enjoy it as much as I normally do. For some reason I can't enjoy it when I'm listening to it by myself lol?

My love for them is due in part to the fact that I am a musician and I idolize the skills of Mikael Akerfeldt. Plus he is such a down to earth dude. I had the opportunity to meet the band and they were all really nice guys.

If you are going to check out BTBAM, look up the song "Fossil Genera". It is a little out there but the last 3.5 minutes are pure epicness.

I've met Trivium and while Matt is high energy, hes realistic. You often think younger successful people would be arrogant or pompous, but it was not the case. It seemed like he was more "I play the music I like, and you like it too. You bought my albums cause you loved it and I'm going to play more because I love it."

Also heard some stories about a few other bands and they all seem to be really great people, which is good. I'd be heart broken if our beloved bands were in the media like Brittany Spears, Miley Cirus or who ever.

I've also just finished listening to Disease, Injury, Madness by BTBAM and I really enjoyed that. About to check out Fossil Genera.

Yes, I'm adding another reply because I'm close to my 500th post.

But I thought it would be nice to say, I just purchased "The Great Misdirect" album by Between the Buried and Me. I'm enjoying every minute of it so far lol
