Great Car! Jay shifts all through the gears. I like how the guy utilized drivetrain parts from bmw and mazda.
I don't know why this led me to a vid of an Ariel Atom K20 turbo, and the Rocket car by Gordon Murray. All these lightweight cars make the 86 look like a cow

Wow, sounds amazing!

I wonder how many of the tuned Suzuki Cappucinos I see around here are similarly beastly? Never know what people are shoving under the hood of kei car...

Not as many as there used to be. There was a shop called LSD that was pushing over 200hp through the three-banger. It was brutally fast, but kept popping head gaskets.

Not a lot of folks out there building fast cars anymore. Most of the GT-Rs parked at speed factory and RAM have Y plates on them these days. No place to run anymore unless you want to get on a ferry to Ie island to drag down the old runway or run around cones in 2nd gear all day at Kartland.

I absolutely LOVE tiny cars with endearing little motors. Fiat really stands out for that, in my opinion, and the OP's excellent video reminded me of one of my other all-time favorites, also powered by a GSXR-1000 motor...

And at the other end of the spectrum...

I dig both those cars strongly. I prefer a little lightweight car with a pissed off engine.
