Yeah, but a GT4 would be faster and effortlessly so. This is also a reason I haven't gone FI. I do want more power, but it's such a pointless thing. Less power definitely slows me down. 300 HP in our car would be a problem. 400 would be a major problem.

I drove a friend's manual-equipped Kia Soul recently. No idea how much power it was making, but it was entertaining in the "drive a slow car fast" kind of way. NA 1.6L Miatas also come to mind lol.

This is one of the reasons I have gone back to a twin. I may make mine faster, but the car is still pretty fun at 45mph, where as my P-cars not as much. Of course I live in flat and straight Oklahoma, if I had more twisties and hills I may feel different. But smiles/fun per dollar the twins win in my book. And if you are on a budget (cause two new kids came at you in the last 2 years) then they work damn well.

IMO more "hardcore" 2 seaters are more fun for less money, but the FR-S is probably some of the most fun you can have on a budget, and still have passengers/grocery/luggage still fit in the back all at the same time.

It's funny because I'm on the other end of the spectrum of life. Mid 50's, great health, 30 years of marriage and retirement less than 10 years away. Put 2 sons through college with no remaining tuition debt. Loved my BRZ. Always wanted a Porsche.

So I've done a few things backwards. But i will have more Pcars, for sure. If you haven't had the chance to own a Porsche or any car you fantasize about.....then i highly recommend it. I also recommend a wife that is as excited about cars as you. My wife is thrilled when I start buying mods for our cars. And she runs better times on the track than most.

I have a 2016 vette and an older vette. My older vette was a money pit. I would not buy a used vette and definitely would not buy a used Porsche. I have a dead Porsche in my driveway sitting next to my dead older vette. I got sick of throwing money at both of them and did say f%&* it and bought a new one.
That said, if I didn't have the funds for the new vette, I would get the BRZ. |

What kind? :3
The twins absolutely own at this. I honestly can't imagine another car that does what the BRZ does: RWD driver's car, super frugal, very useful. Most of the things that hit two of those boxes miss the third. |

Nice, you can't really beat the Twins for daily driving. Although I wouldn't mind doing it to a GT4 as well.
