I don't think it's offensive. I support your right to do whatever you want to your car, within reason. I would hope that you would support my right to laugh at the mess you have made of your car and to call an obnoxious attention whore what they are. Rice on, doodz!

If you double park your car at all, I want to bash in your fucking headlights. Most of them are V6 Mustang and Camaros.

When I would drive my dad's Tundra I would still park in the spot that they tried to take over. It's fun to see how upset they get. And if anyone tells me that's wrong of me to do that, FUCK OFF. Please.

Also, just because you have a cold air intake and maybe a catback, it doesn't make your car "stage 2".

But what if that's what the ECU tune is called?

Heh. Lot's of that in PDX. We will have a Rocket Bunny as well, IIRC. Bit jealous that someone can drop that kind of money to uglify a car, but when I point and laugh it won't be because I think your (not your) car is awesome.

The FR-S/BRZ is a polarizing car, that's for sure. Ten years from now, when the majority of them look like a typical riced-out Civic, mine (knock wood) will still be a sexy little (mostly) stock FR-S in real good shape.

I think the type of kids who slap an eBay CAI/catback on and call it 'Stage 2" don't have the grey matter/cash to realize that CAI/catback combo will do virtually nothing without a tune.

Seriously though that's my pet peeve too- overestimating mods. Or to be more precise the kind of guy who does light mods with cheap parts and then thinks he is king of the streets. Don't get me wrong I did it myself when I was young and dumb...sometimes I'd like to go back in time and punch my past self right in the back of the head.

I do not understand the stance movement either.
I prefer form and function don't get me wrong I am still into a flashy sports car but those parts are supposed to compliment the car's overall looks while actually helping the car to perform better.

oh about the hanging lil dolls on rear bumper thats originally from japan its called a drift charm but honda kids just try to "jdm" everything even if its ghetto and or serves no purpose. the charms were used as a good luck/cute thing for the japanese it doesnt actually serve anything but cultural reference but it was never ment for fwd or awd cars thats the misconception.

the cambered out look in the rear also came from japan but it was used by yakuza as a way to symbolize authority and show the locals that this "car" is mafia owned as you are all aware its brought onto the rest of the world as a appearance statement thats pointless.

jdm itself actually means something more but everybody that isnt japanese kind of destroys its origins

HID, Some LED or any other type of newer headlights.
Yes, they allow the DRIVER OF THAT CAR to see better, but the color temp is sometimes painful, literally for some folks' eyes, (as well makes it difficult for oncoming traffic to see)

I hate trucks with super loud exhausts that commute to the city towing lawnmowers to cut grass. Yeah, they'll clean up your yard and edge the grass, and add 110dB of BLATBLATBLAT noise pollution to your neighborhood as well. And they come downtown and just go full throttle right next to my building, or sit in the indoor parking lot and rev. I'm really hoping my city starts enforcing noise ordinances. We have one that says exhaust shouldn't be plainly audible (read: obnoxious) from 200ft away.

I used to have a truck, it had some nice dealer added side exhausts that made a nice sound, was always pleasant to start up and hear in the morning. But these muffler less trucks are really stupid and need to shut the.. front door.

All the "stages" are just marketing anyway.
You can find a few different configurations that are considered the same stage.

Not sure if you're familiar with WRX/STi stages, but it's all pretty stupid.
Many manufacturers/distributors classify the stages differently depending on what they're selling.
