Put on this piece of plastic, I will miss the clean look of the window-disappearing-into-trunk, but I'm liking it.

Now to see if it will survive winter...

Good call on that! I love mine, I bought it just to keep leaves out of the trunk gap area. But the bonus is it looks really cool!

Well, it's just too bad you installed yours all wrong.. -

You'll find out that the concrete blocks, and sacks of chicken feed, would have pulled out easier if the planks were the other which a way around.

Oh, my, I hope you aren't going to keep that on during the winter, especially in Canada. Water will collect under it and freeze, then when you turn on the rear window defoggers, the temperature differential will crack, then shatter, the glass. Your warranty won't cover it and your insurance won't accept your claim. In fact, they will raise your rates just for you trying to submit a claim like that (throws you into a high risk group).

You got all that, there @Clipdat ?

, always had a nice nuts and seeds mix when I opened my trunk. Another bonus is while wintering the car, the snow won't get jammed into trunk when you brush it down. I do think it provides aero because the wind won't be going into trunk and causing upforce.

It's called TRD Aero Stabilizing Trunk Cover. It is authentic TRD so it cost twice as much as it probably should have been.

Hmm... now you make me worried humfrz. Another forumer also bought it for the exact same reason of using it in winter... so I thought it'd be okay.

I was going to buy that exact piece a couple of years ago but then sort of just forgot about it. I would not be worried about winter. Just clear the back window well before warming the car up and there should not be that much water to freeze down in there. It would be no worse than the water running down into the trunk drains and that has never been an issue for me.
Believe me my car knows about snow!

You are giving me very nice ideas. I will go ahead do that using matching laminate with my bedroom. They are so durable and scratch resistant. They will last forever.

This pattern is best

Nah. We don't actually "dine" in it. It is more the "place to put shit coming or going to the cottage" room for most of the year.
I think the last meal we cooked at home was some time back around mid March.
