Center oem armrest

Hey guys so I found a guy willing to sell me the OEM Toyota sliding center arm rest that's installed on his car but we have no idea if it's removable or how.
So I'm wondering if any of you guys have any insight or experience on this matter
thanks,

Aren't these riveted or screwed in? He'll end up with holes in his center console, I guess he could replace that, but yuck. Or are you swapping the entire piece?

yes, riveted and screwed. you'll need to swap the whole console. it would be easier too.
I put one in mine and it's kinda a permanent thing. But I do like it.

Anybody know how to make the sliding mechanism tighter? I just barely rest my elbow on mine and it slides back, too bad there wasn't a latch or something you must push before it goes back. Other than that, it's a must on long trips.

When you install it you have to keep the spacing between the rails at 135mm. The space between your rails maybe a bit wider. You're basically SOL because you can't adjust the pop rivets once they are installed.

@jorgerendonjr
You would probably destroy the rails trying to take the pop rivets out. Swap consoles.

Manual and Automatic transmission consoles are the same? Don't want to run into any problems so I'll ask beforehand since me and the dude have different transmissions.

can you post a quick video of the thing in action? I want to see how it slides out of the way etc. doesn;t need to be a masterpiece...

Even when there was no armrest, i found stock cupholders place too far back to reach to them without too much turning/leaning. So no issue with armrest of type covering whole center console opening. Just use door bottle holders, much better placed to reach mug with drink without looking.
