They'd better get around to updating their website since, "All Wheel Drive - Every Subaru is built on the same platform" doesn't apply anymore

Looks like they dropped the ball with the BRZ release/promo on this one.
Reminds me.. I need to cancel my BRZ order and get my $5k deposit back.

Go ahead and cancel as I am sure the dealers will have no problem selling their stock. You should have no problem getting your deposit back. What number are you on Subaru's individual numbering? What colour are you down for? Which dealer?

No Idea on the individual numbering, but I been dealing with one of the business managers are a local dealership not one of the salespersons. He anticipated a late July delivery.

I went for a SWP manual transmission. It's a dealership in Perth.

Would love to believe you but if you haven't received a letter or email from Subaru with your individual number then you are unlikely to be July delivery. I know some future owners in NSW and they were contacted a month ago. Maybe you can get back to your dealer and confirm so that someone else is not dissappointed

I hope so too. Hope it wasn't a slick sales tactic for me to still wait for that BRZ preorder, as I've already got my 86. FWIW I pre-ordered in March.

I'll have to follow up with him Monday.

Hmm interesting, was supposed to be on Friday, and I am booked in for a test drive on Sunday, but this would make it a Monday release...

Maybe old mate Nick is superstitious and doesn't want to do the release on Friday the 13th...

I've already ordered my 86 GTS, but I'd love to still test drive the BRZ. Pricing and interior they bring out will be interesting.
