Seeing how the yen is going thru the roof I think they would wait until the very last minute to announce pricing.

Are they trying to say that the small slit between the aluminum spoiler and the trunk creates a venturi effect? And how does it create more down force than the last spoiler/how is it more functional? Maybe it's lighter?

I'm going in with the mindset that I'm going to swing a deal for at least invoice or better. Plus if you're a returning customer that helps too, or else you can threaten to take your business elsewhere. Now as far as accessories goes, I don't think they'll budge much. They gotta make their money somewhere.

Does anyone know how reliable/accurate that donlen website is when it listed the previous year models on their order acceptance and delivery dates in the past? If it listed June 30th as the date to take orders, I'd almost assume it'll be this weekend or next week...

I would imagine that the shape of the wing will create "lift" going down. Imagine an airplane wing upside down. The faster air under the wing pulls the wing down creating down force just like any other car wing.

Great! Let me know when so I can buy either your car or the mods you've added.

The taillights, definitely. They're not my taste, but the kiddies go nuts over them. And the OEMs always, always, always make more effective lighting; There's a reason UPS trucks have Alero headlamps, and the DB7 has Mazda taillights. The better your taillights work, the less likely someone will run into you.

And also hopefully the exhaust manifold.

Yea I can no longer justify the money to run STI oil filter and air filter.

This new twin is gonna be expensive (at least here in Canada), seeing how a base model FRS is now costing more than the MSRP I paid for my BRZ Limited just a few years ago.

It's a pretty big difference actually. The current car has a spoiler. It literally 'spoils' the airflow that would otherwise flow smoothly over the back of the car. This kills some of the lift that the profile of the car makes on its own.
The new model has a wing. A wing doesn't need to rely on the lift created by the object it's attached to and then cut down on that lift. The wing is a standalone aerodynamic device that produces its own lift and drag (on a car the lift generated by wings is negative). A wing is in theory more efficient (will create less drag than a spoiler used for the same purpose). The wing being close to the body of the car cuts down on its efficiency but it should still work better than the spoiler.

That said, I prefer the look of the old spoiler...

Those headlights look awesome. Curious if it'll be possible to swap over. Would love to have the MY17 boomerang drl with the MY13 LED DRL bar.

TRD offered a nice array of parts for the Scions including a big brake kit for the TC. Funny though, they didn't make one for the FR-S. However, I would think that as soon as Subaru's "Performance Package" is available TRD will release similar products for the 86.

The Performance Package from Subaru Tecnica International includes Brembo calipers and larger rotors on both front and rear brakes, SACHS Performance shock absorbers on all four corners and 17-in x 7.5-in black aluminum alloy wheels.

But, if I'm reading the price list correctly the above setup is around $8,000 US before shipping, duty, local/state taxes.
I highly doubt the entire Performance Package from Subaru will be that much. Also, TRD will provide a more cost comparable, (to the STi PP) solution.
