On a probationary basis. One more slip up and we come and paint your car blue.

Took the FR-S out for a drive and burned up the remaining gas that had been sitting in the tank since December. Filled it up with some fresh 93 and took it around the back roads of PA. I almost had an older guy in a big Buick get close to side swiping me though...

Did a Dragon run today. Spring/Easter break is over so no tourists or Harley riders to slow me down. Did not crash or fracture a valve spring.

Drove my FRS to and from work today and almost didn't make it. A real bad accident on the highway meant that it and the nearby roads were all messed up all day. Wound up taking a wide loop through windy back roads to get around the problem. Damn near decided to just keep going, but sadly I made the rational decision to get back on the highway when it reappeared.

But, for about 20 minutes, that little red light on the tach got a real good workout, and so did my smile muscles.

Edit. Doh, I forgot the most important part! Did not crash and my engine didn't blow up. Thanks Ultra!

Drove my FR-S, for a change, to pick up the granddaughters from school yesterday. I was coming back from the doctors office and didn't have time to switch cars. My granddaughters classmates (10-12 year olds) were all impressed and said to me "nice car".

I'll take that - even from a group of kids -

I did not crash leaving the parking lot - like mustangs do.

Drove my FR-S to the auto parts store to get some wiper blades for the Legacy wagon. Despite my best efforts, absolutely nothing exciting happened and I did not crash.

So, you got your GPS programed with "home" correctly -

We took the FR-S out for a drive today. It was a sunny, warm day and the roads were dry.

I got to my favorite set of three curves where I like to do "spirited driving". mrs humfrz had her eyes clamped shut as I entered the first curve.

DAMN, some old fool popped up in front of me with a pickup truck pulling a large 5th wheel trailer. Piss me off. Then another fool screamed up behind me with a giant pickup truck pulling a trailer with a fishing boat behind it!

My fun was wrecked up, however, I continued, only to discover that the 5th wheel truck was taking the three curves just as fast as I would have if I had the road to myself -

The pickup pulling the boat was right on my tail the whole time. I thought for sure that they had both lost their brakes going down that canyon and I was going to die right between them, but noooo, at the bottom they just kept on going.

Obviously, I don't need this "sports car" anymore, to do spirited driving -

Should I just trade it in for a Civic - ??

(we did not crash)

Drove my FRS (near) to the grocery store today (my work schedule is 9/80 so I have today off), found a friend (far), did not crash. Neither did this guy/gal apparently.

Both the red ones in the state in one place! Would have been deliciously ironic if you had crashed into each other.

I still have not crashed.

Today, about lunch time, I drove my FR-S up to Panera's sandwich shop to pick up lunch when I was ambushed in the parking lot, just before the drive through entrance.

It was a bright sunny day and my white FR-S, with the running lights on, was glistening in the sunlight, as I moved along at about 5 mph. All of a sudden this faded red, 4 door POS car lunged from being combat parked, right at me.

With my military honed peripheral vision, I saw the attack coming. So, with my military trained, lightning fast reactions, I maneuvered my nimble FR-S around the ambush zone. The enemy slammed on his brakes and broke off the ambush.

I've heard people say that military training and acquired skills have no application to civilian life. I disagree. It seems like every time I drive my FR-S, some dumb shit driver tries to ambush me -

I did not crash.
