So depending on the desired height you will rub.
I know the question is for the back but for sure you will rub right before full lock with too much camber and or low height up front.
(This is of course with +45 rims)
Just relaying what I went through……

I think he was getting at, that the lower you go the more natural camber you get in the rear due to the multi-link setup.

They increased the rear end track by a few mm. Thats why folks with 18 9.5 +35 are having issues. The front end seems to be the same as before so a +35 fits up front and a +45 is what to get in the rear.( I’m running PS4S which tend to run wider than most tires)
Again At my height with 2.2 camber all around I have no issues. I’m running whiteline rear control arms. Kw V3 all around and vorshlog top hats up front. I’m also running a bit of toe in all around (just a tad)
So basically it seems, if you aren't going for super slammed, the old Gen 1 fitment will still work, right?

Folks with +35 offset are rubbing the outer fender in the back according to some postings I’ve read.

This is going to be the weak point for many aftermarket wheel companies. We are working in tandem with manufacturers to produce sets in an offset range/width combo that should work with little to no chassis modification - the last thing anyone wants to do is to cut up their new car.

Realistically all new orders are about ~8-10+ months from initial date of ordering, and even then that's an estimation. Right now the bulk of our inbound shipments from Rays/Volk/Advan that are coming in as we speak were ordered around ~Feb/March 2021.

So I decided with another wheel instead of 57DR..

Still same specs though.

Just placed an order for some white Work Emotion D9R's in 18x9.5 +38 with a custom 5x100 bolt pattern directly from work.

My options I'm thinking for setups right now is..

1.) 245/35 tires, will need to shave/trim inner fenders for sure If I want to aim for a 2 inch drop
2.) 225/40 tires, more stretch than I would like.. but I think it would work. Probably still fender trim/shave
3.) 235/30 tires, eh not really sure if I'd do this, would prefer more meat. But I'm open to it

Planning to do minimal drops and hopefully -2 will do the job to avoid trimming the fenders.
Yes, will be running 18x9.5

I really wanted to aim for a 2 inch drop since I'll be trimming but I'll see how i feel once my wheels arrive (Work Emotion D9R)

From what I've seen, those specs on 255 are very doable with no trimming as long as you do a very conservative drop, probably an inch or so

I'm seeing a lot of 9-9.5 widths with stretched 225/235 tires. What I would like to see is what offset is needed with R-comp/200tw 245-255 tires on these widths.
I guess like all things once more of these cars are out there and modified the answer will reveal itself.

Check our build thread - we will be R&Ding various aggressive fitments and previous gen sets to get it to work without chassis modification (that is the goal). We will be playing with the geometry of the rear suspension to achieve this, mainly dialing camber from the top via adjustable RUCA rather than the RLCA which tends to increase track width. On the previous gen, we have had luck adjusting both the RUCA and RLCA simultaneously to effectively decrease the track width while still getting considerable clearance in the rear - but we have to do so carefully to not crush the axles in the diff.

First on our list is 18x10 with a 255/265 R-comp.

I agree. An inch is more than enough for me and don't want the underbody got scrapped cause Ontario road condition is too crap...
Yea, so Imma do 20mm or full inch drop and at least -2 camber rear.
Hopefully I can have this tried out in March.

Picking up the wheels anytime soon?

Yeah I feel you, I'm in North NJ/NYC and road conditions are pretty garbage here but I'm fairly used to driving low year round, will have to see once I get everything in and see how doable 2 inches lowered will be

Just got my pre order in and a work representative reached back out to the company I'm buying from and said it's March-April ETA. Just in time for summer.
