If it is in a large enough area where using a large volume of dry ice isn't going to kill everybody then the humidity increase isn't likely an issue either. The humidity issue is more in an enclosed space.

The best part is when is sublimates and fills the tiny cabin with CO2. Its a slow, but gentle way to go, I've heard.

Besides the whole not being able to breath thing, wouldn't this also potentially create "fog"?

Good idea. So, I don't know the math, how many styrofoam coolers, pounds of ice, fans and extension cords would I need for 1700 sqft?

Well now, that depends on the size of the coolers, the CFM of the fans, the outside temperature, how well your house is insulated and how cool you want it on the inside.

I can't find my algorithm for that, so, we can start with @Tcoats estimate of 42 .....

Actually would be extremely uncomfortable. Try rebreathing your own air from a paper bag. The urge to breathe doesn't come from lack of oxygen. It comes from the buildup of CO2.

Straight hypoxia, however...

Or CO poisoning. So many people don't understand the difference that little 2 makes in the hazards.
